When AI Takes Over, I’ll Be at the Dog Park — Because Strategy Still Matters
Everyone’s talking about how AI is going to take all our jobs. Personally, I think that sounds … kind of nice.
After 20+ years in marketing, I’ve seen my share of “the next big thing”—from banner ads that blinked like Christmas lights to automation tools that promised to “do it all.” But AI? This one might actually deliver.
And when it does, I already know what I’ll be doing.
I’ll be hanging out with Abby, my 9-year-old Miniature Schnauzer and self-appointed Princess.
She’s my dog, my sidekick, and the one creature who has never once asked me to hop on a Zoom call or fix a broken link (although she may sit on my lap while I do so).
While AI is busy optimizing ad spend, writing blog outlines, and analyzing data in milliseconds — tasks that often support modern marketing systems, Abby and I will be enjoying our newfound freedom—taking long walks, chasing tennis balls, and maybe even catching a sunrise over Jupiter’s beach. (The Florida one, not the planet.)
Sure, I might miss the thrill of a perfectly automated HubSpot workflow or the satisfaction of an SEO audit that actually moves the needle. But let’s be honest—if AI wants to handle the tedious parts of marketing, I’m happy to delegate.
Because if “the robots” can write a headline, I can finally focus on the part of marketing that actually matters — strategy.
So yes—AI might take the jobs. But in my case, that just means more time for sunshine, paw prints, and a dog who couldn’t care less about click-through rates.
If you’re ready for marketing guided by human strategy — not just automation — let’s build it thoughtfully.
